A native of Gadsden, AL, received his B.A. in Psychology from Birmingham-Southern College. He later received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Alabama. He completed his internship in Clinical Neuro-psychology and Behavioral Medicine at Little Rock VAMC & Arkansas Children's Hospital and his postdoctoral fellowship in Neuro-psychology at Braintree Hospital/Boston University School of Medicine.
