- They give practical help by exchanging ideas about problems they have faced and how they have dealt with them.
- They provide information and advice about appropriate education and specialist services
- They help people see that there is hope and celebrate the successes, large and small which their very special children achieve.
- They are campaigning for additional educational provision locally for children on the autistic spectrum
- They run a dramatherapy group to help foster their children's social understanding.
- They organise outings for their members and their families during school holidays
