The Australian Centre for Psychoanalysis

Established in 1986, the Australian Centre for Psychoanalysis Inc is a not for profit association dedicated to the practice, study and teaching of psychoanalysis, the training of analysts and research in the psychoanalytic field established by Sigmund Freud and extended by Jacques Lacan. Practising psychoanalysts of the Centre have undergone rigorous study, supervision and personal psychoanalysis.

Purpose of the ACP:

• Regularly hold seminars, conferences and workshops and promote ongoing research;
• Publish and distribute psychoanalytic research;
• Operate a Register of Practising Analysts;
• Conduct training in psychoanalysis; and
• Co-operate with similar organisations throughout the world.
