Barbara B. Shostak, Ph.D. have been a psychotherapist in private practice in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area since 1989 and in Fairfax Virginia since 1994. In her final year of doctoral training she interned at the George Washington University Medical Center. In this setting she provided individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, and psychological assessment in an inpatient, outpatient, and HMO/ managed care setting. During her doctoral training she worked in a variety of mental health settings including Community Mental Health, Counseling Center, and Private Practice settings.
