Bobby Benson Center

The Bobby Benson Center is a non-profit, private corporation owned by the Bobby Benson Foundation. The Center has fee-for-service contracts with the Department of Health (Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division and Child and Adolescent Mental Health), the Judiciary and participates with all major health insurance plans.

The Center's modern residential campus is located in Hawaii on Oahu's beautiful North Shore. It is set within acres of lush tropical paradise, just minutes from pristine beaches. In this tranquil environment, families and their teens are taught the skills needed to promote a full and lasting recovery. The facility can currently house 24 youth and four families spending two to three days in residence with their son or daughter.

The goal of the Bobby Benson Center is to return teens to their schools and communities with the skills to remain drug and alcohol free and to mature successfully in today's world. The Center offers the following services to youth between the ages of 13 and 17 (younger or older clients are considered on a case-by-case basis):

  • Detailed assessment of needs
  • Residential treatment
  • Linking of client to community resources to ensure a successful discharge
  • Ongoing aftercare support, including relapse prevention groups available to clients and their families for up to three months after discharge from BBC

The treatment program is fully accredited and licensed by the Hawaii State Health Department and internationally accredited by CARF (Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities).
