Children’s Justice Center (CJC)

Child abuse is a traumatic and devastating experience for both children and their families. Victims are often confused and blame themselves. The Children’s Justice Center (CJC) is a home-like, child-friendly facility where children receive coordinated services during the child abuse investigative process by decreasing secondary trauma that may be caused by the criminal justice and child protection systems. The CJC is a Salt Lake County government program administered by the Division of Youth Services within the Department of Human Services.

Mission:
To provide a comfortable, child-friendly atmosphere where children receive coordinated services during the child abuse investigative process.
