The Department of Psychology is one of the largest departments at Stockholm University. Research is conducted in a variety of different areas and their research groups are divided into six research divisions. Their courses span all levels from undergraduate to doctoral and include a five year psychologist's programme as well as specialist's courses. They have a psychotherapy clinic with two disciplines of psychotherapy. The department comprises over 150 members of staff and the department's annual turnover exceeds SEK 100 millions.
They perform research in many areas of psychology. The research groups are divided into six divisions; Biological Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Perception and Psychophysics, Personality Social and Developmental Psychology, and Work and Organizational Psychology.
he Department of Psychology hosts research in a variety of fields. The research groups are divided into six separate divisions. Information about these divisions, and individual research projects, can be found here, as well as current open lectures and other events. Many of Stockholm University's research groups are at the cutting edge of their field of inquiry. Fifteen research areas, each nationally-leading and having a high international status, have been chosen specially to profile the University. Among them the project "Cognitive and social aspects of aging" in which the Betula project at our department plays a prominent role.
