Dr. Arthur Joyce

Dr. Joyce is a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas. He completed his doctoral degree in Clinical Health Psychology in 2003 at the University of North Texas in Denton.

  • Specializing in forensic, vocational, and neuropsychological assessment, Dr. Joyce has logged over 5000 hours of forensic experience, including evaluations of competency to stand trial; risk assessment; and sanity evaluations. Dr. Joyce has also testified as an expert witness in competency cases.
  • Vocational experience has included extensive background in evaluation of individuals with disabilities, including a focus on persons who are blind.
  • Dr. Joyce is experienced in forensic evaluations of adults with mental illness, malingering, and mental retardation.
  • Dr. Joyce has published several articles in the area of neuropsychology, and offers neuropsychological testing as part of his forensic practice.

In addition to an active private practice, Dr. Joyce is employed as a Chief Psychologist at a maximum security forensic psychiatric hospital in Vernon, Texas.
