Dr. Ivan specialize in the treatment of individuals who have been told that they have treatment-resistant depression. Many of these individuals have hard to treat forms of bipolar depression, while others have been diagnosed with major depression. The founder of Depression Central , Dr. Ivan is a psychiatrist and clinical psychopharmacologist in private practice in New York City. Formerly on the staff of the National Institute of Mental Health and the Departments of Psychiatry of the Columbia- Presbyterian Medical Center, and Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, he now devote my time to evaluating and providing advanced innovative treatment for individuals whose depression or bipolar disorder has not not responded to standard drug treatments.
