Grail Institute

With Grail Institute and Grail Publishing, they are seeking to respond to the most profound need of their times, the need for a deeper and more meaningful spiritual existence in the Christian world, one that is rooted in the profound revelations, mysteries and practices of ancient Christianity. In their times the deeper reality of Western spirituality has been tragically obscured and in many cases all but lost. They no longer know their own true spiritual history.

Grail Institute would like to serve as a force for revealing, opening up and bringing forth some of the most profound treasures and riches of the Christian esoteric tradition. They will do this through research, study, publishing, and teaching. The primary focus will be Christ's manifested light throughout history in Eastern and Western Christianity, including Celtic Christianity, Grail Christianity and the alchemical-esoteric tradition as well as the liturgical-sacramental history in Christianity. Essentially, the idea of the holy will be the guide and the work of the Institute.

Among their activities have been public workshops and seminars on Christian esoteric and contemplative traditions in such venues as the New York Open Center, the Minneapolis-based Mythos Institute, and the Marywood Dominican Retreat Center in Michigan. Robert Faas, author of The Divine Couple, is a practicing clinical psychologist, and Arthur Versluis is a university professor. Together and separately they have given numerous public talks and workshops.
