Illinois School Psychologists Association

The Illinois School Psychologists Association (ISPA) is a not-for-profit professional association representing school psychologists in the state of Illinois since 1979.

ISPA’s mission is to serve the educational and mental health interests of all children and youth. School psychologists make important contributions to the social, emotional and academic development of students by serving as advocates for good mental health and safe and supportive learning environments. Working as partners with parents, educators and fellow mental health professionals, school psychologists help students reach optimal levels of achievement and well-being.

ISPA also strives:

  • To encourage and provide opportunities for the professional growth of its members.
  • To inform communities about the services and practices of psychology in the schools.
  • To advance school psychology professional standards.
