International Psychoanalytical Association

The IPA is the world’s primary accrediting and regulatory body for psychoanalysis. Their mission is to assure the continued vigour and development of psychoanalysis for the benefit of psychoanalytic patients. They work in partnership with their 70 constituent organizations in 33 countries to support their over 12,000 members.

Their aims include creating new psychoanalytic groups, stimulating debate, conducting research, developing training policies and establishing links with other bodies. They organize a large biennial Congress which is open to all.
