Macquarie University is a large university on the North Shore of Sydney. It was established in 1964 and accepted its first undergraduate students in 1967. There are over 20,000 students enrolled, including significant numbers of part-time and external students. The Department of Psychology is one of the largest disciplines at Macquarie University, and one of the largest Psychology Departments in Australia, with a staff of over 40 academics, including 3 Professors, one Professorial Fellow, one Honorary Clinical Associate Professor and 5 Associate Professors. The Head of Department is Associate Professor Mike Jones. Psychology is in the Faculty of Human Sciences.
