Established in 1962, the Department of Physiology at Monash University has been internationally recognised for its strength in research and teaching. In 2002 they taught over 1500 undergraduate students, almost 30 Honours students in the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Biomedical Science degrees and had more than 50 higher degree (Masters, PhD) students. They are committed to the intellectual growth of their undergraduate and postgraduate students and provide excellent teaching and research facilities.
The School of Psychology and Psychiatry is a school of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. The school participates in the teaching of the undergraduate and postgraduate programs of the university. It provides a broad range of services to the community through its consulting, clinical and advisory capacity, and provides a professional resource to promote community mental health and quality of life. It places a strong emphasis on research productivity and excellence and is engaged in a wide range of research activities.
