Society for Personality and Social Psychology

The Society for Personality and Social Psychology is the largest organization of social and personality psychologists in the world. The Society fosters scientific research in personality and social psychology by publishing scientific journals, organizing an annual conference, and maintaining close ties with science advocacy offices in the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science.

The Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP) was founded in 1974 when the leadership of Division 8 of the American Psychological Association decided to incorporate as an independent organization. Today, SPSP includes more than 5,000 members from around the world who study a wide array of subfields.
